- I skipped the group swim tonight so I could see what my true 100 time was. Last week, stuck with 8.5 other people in a circle swim I clocked in at 2:00. Even with wicked heartburn from tequila and burritos at a celebratory lunch today, I easily did my 100s in 1:45 tonight. Glad I gave the PSU pool a break - I'm sure my sinuses will thank me tomorrow. I'm using the 1:45 time as my official beginning of the season time and we'll see what I can do by June.

- 40 minute EZ run 4.11 miles 9:43m/m pace on the treadmill. The first two miles, I increased the incline to 4 for 30 seconds every 2 minutes. Had some calf/achilles/foot pain that sucked. Most likely I didn't stretch well these last few days.

- 2100 yard swim. I skipped out on group swim again. It's just so much easier to hit the pool close to home, but I promise not to skip too many more. I did drills on my own. 100s were much slower than Tuesday. It was the day after a rest day then. Today I was a bit tired from workouts from yesterday and I lifted upper body first and I went into the swim way too hungry.

- First BRICK of the season! 1:00 Hour spin/ 3.44 mile run. With all the snow/ice/cold temps, mid-week a decision was made to be safe and to take over the spin room at my gym and do the bike portion spin style, led by Coach, and then we moved outdoors for our group run. 1 hour spin/3.44 mile run. Nice and easy run at an 11:09m/m pace. Lots of good conversation and I didn't think about my legs/ankles/feet once! It felt awesome to run pain free =D

Going to meet the team was the best medicine, though. I'm better for having gotten my sorry butt out of the house. Once I realized the chest pain wasn't going to be a heart attack, I just went for it and had a good run.

Coach had to really work me over during transition, but I thought I was going to have to walk and I ran the whole way with his magic hands! YAY Coach!This was by far my strongest brick ever. I nailed the nutrition and I think that...and the transition back work by Glen...really worked for me.
