'Cause Jessica's Having a Baby...

And 'cause, you can still be pregnant and be fit and healthy and workout. It's not as fun as eating for "two" but it's SOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it in the long run!! First two pics were my second pregnancy at 8 months (wow! Look at how underdeveloped my left arm looks in the middle pic - I bet it was bugging me, too! I think at the time I kept forgetting I was pregnant and didn't need to be able see striations - hehe) and the bottom pic is me trying to look buff at 9 months preggo ;o)

Kris - Can you believe it's been over 4 years now???!!!!

Are you sure you don't want to do this to your belly, Kelly?

Jess, start slathering on the lotion now! I put my "belly butter" on religiously every night before bed and ended up with no stretch marks! I used Palmers - the really thick hard vaseline type that comes in a jar. I must have gone through a jar every two weeks.

Ha ha... you are beautiful! You look great and even had cuts in your legs. WOW!!!

I did exactly everything wrong.. Got a ton of stretch marks and ate for two. Two adults!!!!

You are beautiful. If am honestly 100% SCARED and freaked out about having babies (hope Jessica doesnt read this) but I am! Not only about how I look but about the whole getting that thing out of there! AHHHH!!! Also about how I feel. I can feel an extra 2 lbs. Whenever I eat a bit too much or have a large dinner--I can feel it! I cannot imagine having a pregnant belly.

BUT!!!! If I could look like you during pregnancy, sign me up! You are a picture of health and fitness. Very impressive. I know I have 3-5 years before we start to have babies. So...2009 is the year I will get in AMAZING shape so I can prepare my body for pregnancy.

Once again--you look amazing.

Okay, just read more of your blog. You have a really cool family. Your kiddos are adorable.

I am going to need some recipes of pictures your posted August 24th. What is in the hawaiian omelette? stir fry? turkey burger? They all look yum!!

Jules, I was going to say the same thing that Krissy said. I can't even believe that it has been that long that Mai was in your belly and we were giving you a virtual shower! Awwwww. :-)....

You've always been a rock star.

422 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cynthia ~ I ate for two ADULTS during my first pregnancy - whoa!!

Hi Melissa - That virtual shower was the most unexpected thing ever. It was so crazy to get all those package deliveries over and over again! It meant SO much to me!

Hi Krissa ~
Let's see about those recipes. First, I ALWAYS have on hand a huge container of chopped raw veggies in my fridge. It almost always contains red onions, Red, Orange, and Yellow bell peppers, asparagus, green beans, and zucchini and I put it in everything - my stirfry, burritos, tacos, egg whites, mixed in with a protein of my choice, etc.

The Hawaiian Omelette is about 1.5 cups of finely chopped veggies (above) with 1 and 1/3 oz of finely diced lean canadian bacon and 1/2 cup of finely diced pineapple (finely diced so I can get some in every bite!), 4 egg whites and a smidge of reduced fat cream cheese. I add about 1 Tbsp each of sour cream and ketchup and the breakdowns ins about 240 cals and 41/40/19 (C/P/F). If I have a stinky cheese on hand, I'll put a little of that in too.

Sometimes I just scramble all the above together and dump it on top of a piece of Ezekiel toast - Yummy! 323 cals (48/34/18)

The turkey burger sandwich is 4 oz of extra lean grilled patty (before we cook them, we add lots of red pepper flakes, some salsa and a bit of teriyaki to the meat) on a healthnut or ww english muffin. I top it with ff cheese, a little red fat cream cheese, ketchup, onions, tomatos and a lice of pineapple.
410 cals (44/37/19).

My stir fry is sooooooo yummy. I probably eat this twice a day. It's at least 2 cups of my veggie mix and 1/2oz of peanuts, and 4-5 oz of extra lean turkey strips. Sometimes I mix in 1/2 cup of brown rice or 1/2 cup of ww pasta or just use the veggies as the carb. I flavor it with a TON of red pepper flakes and soy sauce to taste. 405 cals (with brown rice) 46/39/20.

Enjoy!

whoops, forgot to add that at the very end of the stir fry, I dump in about a cup of broccoli slaw and give it just enough time to get warm, but not too soft. It makes it so crunchy and good!

When I first saw those pictures pop up I thought I had missed out on some big news!!!

You were amazing during that pregnancy. I have no intentions of being knocked up again, but if I did I'd want to model after you.
