Gettin' Snuggie wit it

It's a dreary kind of day and Mai and I are putting Daddy's new Birthday Snuggies to good use! We bought them as a joke for his birthday because 1) Everytime the Snuggie commercial comes on TV he says they're stupid and the kids and I think they are the OPPOSITE of stupid and 2) After we bought him the zebra print, we found an Oregon Duck Snuggie and couldn't pass it up. They are very sexy looking and I love wearing the Duck for Steve's viewing pleasure ;-)

I'm glad it's rainy and cold this long weekend, because I've got lots of cleaning plans that a sunny weekend would have messed with. We also need to do some school supply shopping and school clothes shopping - I was going to put off the clothes until October, but if this weather keeps up, I may not be able to rely on Summer clothes for the first few weeks. Mai needs a new dress for first day of big girl school anyways - she says she wants to dress like a fashion star!!

Since Jesus went through everything you're going through and more, learn to think like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. Then you'll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want.

01Peter 4:12-13 Friends, when life gets really difficult, don't jump to the conclusion that God isn't on the job, Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.

01Peter 4:19 So if you find life difficult because you're doing what God said, take it in stride. Trust him. He knows what he's doing, and he'll keep on doing it.
