I have been honored with the Stylish Blogger Award by Wonderfully Full of Life Rose of Eat, Drink, and Be Meiri and also by Completely Dedicated To Running Andrew of Running Man Wannabe and also by The Very Lovely and Giant Hearted Marcia at Running Off At The Mouth and so I'm here today to share 7 things about me that you may or may not know.
1. Did you know that in the 7th grade, someone named Kathy presented me with "The Brain Award"?
Here...I have proof...
...Good thing I kept the following pictures because I think immediately after receiving the brain award, I was hit by lightning or something, 'cause I have the memory of a goldfish.
2. Did you know that I used to wear makeup...
...and now I don't?
3. Did you know that I used to be very good at jumping onto inner tubes...
...and now I can swim for 2 miles without stopping?
3. Did you know that I used to walk as much as possible in gym class...
...and now I have run two marathons? (The group thing hasn't changed, though...ALWAYS more the merrier!)
4. Did you know that my friends and I used to dream about hot guys...
...and now I sleep next to one?
5. Did you know that I used to drink a lot of beer and sunbathe too much...
...and now I drink a lot of wine and have had skin cancer removed? (just a reminder to wear your sunscreen!...you can keep drinking, though ;-)
6. Did you know that when I was a wee one, I ironed and sewed...
...and now I can barely sweep my floors?
7. Did you know that I used to dress my brother up like a girl...
...and I'm wondering if he still reads my blog.

What a great idea for this! LOVED it. So glad you tagged some of these people because I wanted to read theirs too! Going to check out the other ones that I don't know. Such a cute little girl you were! Still are. :) Made me smile!
I love your short shorts and the look on your brother's face! Thanks for passing it along to me! I'l have to do some thinking and then post and pass it along!
these photos are freaking awesome.
Love the shorts.
Love the beer can photo.
awesome post.
I LOVE all these pictures! The gym one is my favorite, though.
Love the way you did this! And number 5--oh can I relate! Wine is much better, although skin cancer, not so much!
So sun! Love all your pics!!! I'm pretty sure I have some skin cancer to have removed too - just don't want to go to the doctor!
loved your post and pics! they are great!
i'm a fellow tnt'er too! nice to meet ya! :) GO TEAM!
Glad you all liked my short shorts :-)
Now on to big fish to fry...My Dear Racing Dawn...
Get thee to a physician A.S.A.P.
Even if it's a "nice" skin cancer...it will need to be removed and the longer you wait, the bigger and/or deeper it can get and you can end up with a worse scar. If they had been able to get mine completely the first time, the scar would have been pretty minimal, but in the end...it's two inches long because they had to go in a second time because it was deep :-(
What a fun post!! The photos are the best. You have had some really interesting hair :D Why don't I remember wearing shorts like that?
Jumping into tubes takes some SKILL!
I will have to see what i can dig up for my tag.
Thanks for tagging me! This will be a fun exercise.
I love it! All of it! This is such a fun post, and thanks for tagging me. I am going to copy your format, as I had such a good time reading it. It made me smile - a lot!
By the way, thanks for checking where I was....:-)
Hey Julie! That was GREAT! Like I've said before, you are always so witty and creative! LOVED the pics, and isn't it funny how several of the fasions from those pics have come back already at some point? I'm just glad big hair hasn't came back yet!!
My cousin and I used to dress my middle brother up as a girl too! He had blonde curly hair and blue eyes.
Thanks for the award! I'm going to have to think! Mine won't be as cute as yours, but it IS fun getting to know more about people!
Loved this post!!! Very creative. :)
In pictures even - that's awesome.
Love it. Thanks for the smile. (&&really? No makeup?! :))
Hahhahha...oh what a great post! I so do love your Brain Award:)))))))
Classic 80's pics. I love them. Not nice what you did to your bother. At least he is not dressed up like a sailor.

1,000 Ways To Die is soooooo not a kids show. OMG. It's hilarious, but, it shows 3-5 stupid, gory deaths, per episode, and then makes fun of the people dying. Maybe, uh, watch it with your kids, to make sure it's not messing them up? =)
I was just kidding :-)
They know they aren't supposed to watch it, but I do catch them trying to sneak it once in a while. I think we're going to have to start using the block function on the tv. Darn kids!
OH MY GOSH. How amazing are those pictures?!!?!? I loved your post. So fun!!
You're so creative, I love this!! Awesome Pics :D
you can swim 2 miles without stopping? Holy cow! You are awesome.
Thanks for noticing my horrible hair, ERG ;-)
Really not much make-up worn by this one. I put on eyeliner and mascara when I'm headed to church or OUT out, but I'm a total make-up loser. Even when I have it on, it doesn't appear that I'm wearing any (and not in a good way).
Anyone who knows my poor start in the swimming portion of triathlon, knows what an accomplishment my swimming is to me! It took a long time to feel this comfortable.
Thanks for all your comments. This was a fun post to do :-)
I wish I wasn't lazy -- I want pics of me being 5 on my blog, too!
Love #4!
Congratulations Julie! Great pictures. You left out your BFL accomplishments! Cheers to you ~ Susan
