A Run And A Ride

Two group workouts this weekend makes me smile. Yesterday was a 5 mile run in NE Portland starting at Grant HS and working our way around the neighborhood. Kept an easy 10:23 pace and felt great pretty much the whole time (well...after I hit my groove around the 2 mile mark).

Then today was a bike clinic where I managed to escape without having to change a flat tire at the flat tire clinic - WOOT! Trust me...I know how to change a flat tire, but with my cool new tires, I'm expecting no flats this year.

Then we headed out for a 25-30 miler on the Springwater Corridor but the path ended before we were ready to stop and only got in 26 and 1/2 miles. It was a nice ride. No rain, no snow, no hail. I call that a success!

Feeling good!

This looks like a good Sunday bike ride! I don't bike, but I always get so jealous when I see other people do it. Maybe I should give it a try?

YES!
Riding is totally NOT my thing. At first I thought swimming was not my thing, but now I'm sure it's biking. I LOVE to ride slow and coast :-)
but there is no other feeling like finishing a long hard ride. Euphoria...then a nap :D

Lucky! My 50-mile ride got canceled on Saturday and I was too sick to do my 20k trail run today. So sad. ;(

I'm jealous of your outdoor ride. I haven't ridden outside on my bike since probably October. Soon though, very soon!

Please knock on wood right now! I'd hate for you to have jinxed yourself with the public pronouncement of the no-flats expectations :)

All this talk about biking is making me want to start.

Abby - thanks for pointing out that I probably just jinxed myself :p

Doesn't 26.5 miles fit right into the 25-30 mile plan?

Yes it does :-)
