Foolin' Myself and A CSN GIVEAWAY

I don't like to clean.
I have two kids.
A dog.
A man.

Rather than aim my gaze downward and happen to see this reminder of the plant that died and was removed over a month ago...

Or, the dining room that has become Lego town (and yes, now that you mention it, I do notice that there are Christmas ornament hangers still out and it is half way through March)...

Or, this fiasco that happened after Daddy told Mai no skating on the hardwoods and I moved her into the living room carpet where she could really not get into any trouble (yes, I moved the couch over 6" and now I only have to see this when I'm going up and down the stairs)...

So...maybe I prefer to fool myself a bit and keep my gaze towards the ceiling. Have you ever noticed how much cleaner your house is if you lie on the floor and look up? UH.MAE.ZING.

Unless you wander into my office.
Then you'll look upwards and you'll see this

or if I turn it the other way, this....

So when I won Miss Zippy's CSN giveaway, I'm sure you were thinking I would go directly to their LIGHTING  department and replace this very ugly and fire hazardous lamp with something new.
But you would be wrong.
I went directly to their health and fitness area and bought a BOSU ball because as you can see, there is still room in my workout closet for one more thing :D

I'm teaming up with CSNStores.com to offer one of you lucky readers $35 to use at any of their online stores!  This is for my US and Canadian readers only, and  there may be international shipping fees in the case of Canadian orders that the gift code cannot cover.

Mandatory: I'm going to make it easy to enter:  Be or become a follower and leave a comment saying so.

Extra entries:  (leave a separate comment for each)

Extra entry #2, #3, #4- Blog, Facebook, or Tweet about the giveaway and leave me the link in your comment.

Extra entry #5 - Tell me, if a friend or acquaintance showed up on your doorstep unannounced, how would they find your house kept? Or would you be like me and think twice about letting them in ;-)

This giveaway is open until Monday March  21st at midnight PST.  I'll announce the winner next Tuesday!
Good luck!

If someone randomly showed up at our house they'd find clothes, everywhere. Dirty, clean, doesn't matter. If they showed up today they'd also find laundry on the kitchen table and a very very dirty bathroom floor. Guess I better do some cleaning when I get home!

And these days, if a friend randomly showed up at our front door, I'd probably be apologizing for the disarray before letting them in :)

Most of the time people would find my house picked up, but not necessarily clean to my "house guest" standards. Unless you came during the last month when I've had back trouble. It was a mess - until today!!

If someone showed up unannounced they would find a sink full of dishes because we never bothered to unload the dishwasher, cat hair on the furniture, the l aundry baskets full (and probably overflowing) and we would probably still be in pjs!

Wel...I could post a post about my oven. again. Jon finally screwed the handle on from the outside. Screws are showing, but it hasn't been broken for a few weeks.
The state of our house totally depends on whether Jon is home or not. =D Either way, it's small and lots is crammed into tiny places.

Wait a minute.... Why does "a man" get it's own category???

I seriously cracked up when I read that you bought a ball. Totally worth it! :)

I would NOT like it if someone showed up on my doorstep unannounced. If I thought I could get away with it, I would not answer and pretend that I wasn't home! The house is usually in disarray.

Oh, and I kinda answered this in my first post but YES if someone showed up unannounced it would be disaster time!!! LOL.

And if a friend showed up at my front door right this second they'd see laundry needing to be folded, coats on the back of chairs and a giant pile of baby clothes in the middle of the floor (no baby lives here -- someone donated them to my work!).

I LOVE that you shared the messy tidbits of your house! :) When I worked, unplanned visitors were not always joyously welcomed. Now that I'm working the FT housewife gig, I'm a little tidier. Still... notice is always a good thing!
