Last night, we met down at Vera Katz...
...to start Natasha's Run in remembrance of a beautiful little girl whose life was cut way too short.
There were lots of people there...
and the balloons looked amazing.
Shannon and many others were running 8-16 miles.
Mai...
...thought she might like to run her first 5k, so that is what we did. We started with the group...
- with Mai running in front with the fast guys, of course. At our 1/2 way mark, we turned around and headed back to meet up with Jack...
...and Daddy, who took us out for...
Vincente's Pizza. YUM! I rehydrated with wine. Mai chose 7-up. Then it was bed time. A good day indeed.
Natasha, you are ingrained in our lives. You touched those close to you and those who didn't even know you. You mattered and we remember you always.

Go Team!
Sounds like a good time, plus pizza at the end is always a good way to cap an event off
Yea for Mai! And for pizza and wine. :)
Wow, Mai! Her first 5k! what a fantastic way to celebrate, Julie!
Just getting caught up on your posts for the week! What a wonderful way to honor Natasha's life and legacy - and kudos to Mai on her first 5k!
Congrats to Mia on her run. What a great post.
That is really so cool. I love all the purple balloons. And Great job to Mai on her first 5K!
Awesome post - I'm sure Natasha was honored! Go Mai! Great running form girlee!
Great post, great run, great reason to run...honoring a terrific person
a new runner in the family then! looks fun and casual; too perfect
It always makes me feel a little better running for a good cause. It doesn't have to be too organized or raise money for something. Just running to honor someone or to have time to think about them. It makes a huge difference to my psychology... I cannot believe how happy your daughter looks running! She totally earned her pizza :-)
I am going to do a similar run in May. It's a great way to remember someone. Good for your family.
What a great memorial! And a great way to end the day.
It sounds like the memorial run went awesome!
Yay for your daughter's first 5k! :)
