Monday Morning Dance Party

We headed out to Mollala last night for some Ro-de-o...you know...that place where they sell 3 foot long corn dogs (seriously) and elephant ears served on humongous pizza platters. That place where they won't let you bring in any water and yet the line to buy water is over an hour long. I'm perfectly dehydrated for my 80 mile bike ride I agreed to do in a drunken celebratory blur the other night.

Mai had her giddyup on hours before we left...
Cousins...

Everyone loves fighting for the attention of the t-shirt gun guy...

Self portrait...

Goofing around...

Me and my guy...

A little run in the bull poop and dirt. All the little kids "got" to go out into the horse and bull poop and put their shoes in a big pile in the middle of the ring. They then all went back to the fence and did a mass start to go find their shoes, put them on, and return to the fence. I particularly LOVE the little girl who is back of the packing it in this video. I think she's trying to keep her socks clean =D

...ya...my kids' shoes and socks are looking and smelling Fanfreakintastic.

It all ended with bombs bursting in air, of course...

And in honor of the guy who got his nuts stomped on by a bull.... (OUCH!)...
I'm dedicating this week's MMDP to him...click below 'cause the girls they are so pretty...

I've got my own saddle to go get on today...wish me luck and yet another distance PR on the bike. Happy 4th of July!!

We love us some rodeo out here in Wyoming! :) We haven't seen the 3 foot corndogs though. Bleck for me, but some of my kids would think that was heaven. :)

Love the rodeo pics! It looks like everyone had a blast, except maybe the little girl with dirty socks :-).

I have to say the "poop" run doesn't sounds like much fun to me :) But other than that looks like a great time.

Happy 4th!!

Julie, super dehydrated is the absolute best way to start your 80-mile ride. In the heat. Of course, I was dead last on our entire bike ride today so maybe you shouldn't listen to me!!

Sock girl was cracking me up, I think I'm going to be thinking about her all day. Glad your kids' socks and shoes are smelling mightly fine right now, what a rodeo w/o horse and cow poop smells lingering in your house for a week!?!?!

Happy 4th! Hope the ride went well.

Looks like a lot of fun with your kids - other than the bull poop part! Good luck on that new saddle PR. I am heading off on my own tomorrow for what should be a great ride.

OMFREAKINGOD! That MMDP video is BOMB... so many fab ideas for costumes...

I totally want one of those pink cowgirl outfits and the business woman get-up with the garters, too. I already have the tractor driver deal ;-)

And now I want to learn how to play the banjo.

Yeah, the kids in the poop run are cute... but THIS is ART :P lol

Awesome fun, thanks for sharing! Rodeo is something very foreign to me.

I hate when places don't even let you bring in your own WATER! I mean come on!

At least it looks like a fun day for the family. Besides the stinky shoes, dehydration, and exhaustion. Hope the bike ride went well. :)

I'm loving the cowboy hats. I mean if you're going to go to the rodeo you may as well dress the part!

At the Oregon State Fair last year I stared in disbelief when I saw those 3 feet long corn dogs for the first time. I was in awe - and disgust!
