1) I finished my first season of Dexter last night.
Steve is hooked and I think already finished with the first 4 seasons. I took my time, started with one of the original books: Dexter in the Dark and then decided to try to rent the first season from the library. The hardest part is not actually watching the show, but rather keeping my kids out of the room where it is playing. They now are trained that if the family room door is closed, Dexter is on and they dare not enter...or I'll send Dexter after them :p
Think I can catch up on 4 more seasons by the time Steve wants to watch the current one? You know that old saying about the family that watches serial murder shows together, stays together, right?
2). I have lots of TNT teammates arriving in Canada for IM Canada. I'm jealous. I'm not so sure that I'm jealous of the race they are doing, but maybe more jealous of the massive amount of teammates/friends that are camping there to support those amazing people. I. Want. To. Be. There. For now...it's just virtual cheering.
Maybe next year...
3) Hood To Coast time is here. Lots of local friends running and lots of blogger friends, too. Between work, bedroom painting, and a soccer jamboree, I'm hoping to get out to cheer on these athletes!...maybe hand out a little candy...mmmm...sugary orange slices anyone?
What about you?
- Have you succumbed to Dexter's deadly charms?
- Do you know anyone racing at IM Canada? Or do you have aspirations to get there yourself someday?
- Have you ever run Hood to Coast or do you ever want to?

I haven't watched Dexter.. I might check it out. I know one person doing Canada. Hood to Coast? Hell yeah I'd love to do it!
I TRIED to watch Dexter, but just couldn't get into it. Now, give me some True Blood anyday...
I am so out of it, I don't even know who dexter is! But blood does not look good to me..I like murder mysteries, but prefer the kind that aren't all CSI style- more implied, like Poirot :)
Have fun cheering H2C!! Bet that's fun to see :)
never seen dexter, but I keep hearing good things so I probably need to check it out.
I would love to do hood to coast at some point, I have had sooo much fun on past relays
i am OBSESSED with dexter. Got hooked about 3 seasons ago and watched the first few within a few days (yes, i didn’t have a life). i would LOVE to do hood to coast one day.
IMC is the one that most people around here do if they're doing an ironman. I know a bunch of triathletes from my town that are doing it.
As for me, I would love to, but I'll probably end up doing CdA when I get there, purely because the end of June is better then the end of August when it comes to the impact of high volume training on my family.
So I just noticed your quote in your header. Has that always been there and it just never registered for me? I love it!
Answering your questions...
No
No, but hmmmm....
No, and not really. But that's not to say I wouldn't.
Duck football tickets - awesome! I've always wanted to see a game there, that stadium just seems so loud. I wish I could have gone there for the Oregon vs Stanford game last year, that would have been a fun one.
This year Stanford vs Oregon is at home at Stanford, its the biggest football game in Stanford history I'd say, I already can't wait for it, haha
I had no idea what Hood to Coast was until this year, now I know all about it since the Nuun bloggers are doing it. It sounds like a blast!
I don't know about Dexter. Is it really about a serial killler? My daughter is doing Hood to Coast. Ordinarily I wouldn't pay much attention to it. It's neat that you can watch some.
Fly got me into Dexter...we are going to start the newest DVD this weekend!
I heard the views at IMCD are great but the bike course is brutal
Brent's obsessed with Dexter but I watched the first episode and wasn't a fan of the gore. He keeps trying to get me to give it another shot - maybe this winter, on the trainer!
I LOVE Dexter!!!
I see BB told you we were going to watch it. We are already half way through the season after just one sitting!
