Owww...legs! It's Free??

Happy Tuesday! I'm all full of energy and excitement today. Let's see, first and foremost...I've been reunited with my workout partner since last Monday and we've been hitting the gym like it's our job. LOVING the workouts, but whoooooo boy...I'm sore! We did legs twice last week and then I decided to do a squat challenge on Saturday (I ended up with 300 squats in 14:46 minutes!!) and then yesterday was legs again, where we did an unreasonable amount of squats and lunges. My legs are pooped...and guess what we're doing today after our upper body workout?
We're heading out for a hike in the gorge. This is going to be the nicest day this week...and probably for some time...so we're going for it!

All this leg work leads me into these...

Last week I found out that I was going to start testing products for articles that Sarah Bowen Shea (of Run Like A Mother and Train Like A Mother) will be writing. When I headed over to pick up the current product she had for me, I thought I was testing out compression socks, so imagine my surprise when I found these babies waiting for me. Score! NOW>>>Here is where you come in...I have never worn compression clothing before so I had no idea what to expect when I ran in them. I'm just wondering what YOUR experiences have been with compression tights. Are you for or against?

Ok now...give me your scoop on compression running tights...

I've worn the compression sleeves for my calves lately and they're amazing. In the winter I use compression tights sometimes. Yeah, I look like I'm staring in Black Swan or something, but they keep me warm and do a pretty good job.

Yeah on finding the studio

I am a huge believer in compression, in my opinion, at least for my body, claf sleeves do more for me then a compression tight. Though I have notice by wearing compression I am less sore the next day then when I dont

Wow! Congrats! You will love starting your own business. I cannot wait to find a studio and open mine someday too, every personal trainers dream =)

300 squats! Oww is right! I haven't ever worn compression anything. I am curious to see how you like them. Maybe I should give them a try.

Ummm...my legs would be pooped after those workouts too! Wow!

I LOVE my compression tights! I have a pair of 2XU that I run in during cold weather and a pair of ZOOT recovery tights that I wear after long runs/bikes! I also have compression socks that I use for all my long runs! I LOVE all of them!

First, sooo jealous right now. 1) you are testing awesome compression tights. 2) you are brave enough to step out and put on a boot camp. {insert me bowing to your awesomeness}

Also, I looooove compression tights. Okay, I jut love compression. I know that they helped my legs finish that 50 miler. I know it!

Lastly, I was to chicken to do the 300 squats. I kept starting them and wussing out. Nice job on yours!

How many squats? On a good week, I might do 100 ;-)

I've never tried compression anything, but with all these ravenous comments, I might give them a try. Yay for bootcamp! I know it'll be great! :-)

I have running pants that are kind of compression but not "formally". Just tight Nike ones. I do have compression shorts which I LOVE but my favorite would be the compression socks! Yep! Interested to see how you like them!?

LOVE reading about your new adventure! This business thing is perfect for you!

Squat challenge. Um. I bet that the 300 would kill. I just upped my weights last night and will stick to the 20-30 I do, Ha!

I have been wanting to try CWX for a long time. I have used medical RX tights, but they were too hot and not easy to run in. Running designed compression tights would be perfect, i think. The socks I use for recovery are comfy :)

Men in compression tights look funny- Unless they are in excellent shape.
Have a great week & ride!!

Ooh, congratulations!! Your boot camp will be amazing. :)

Very cool that you get to test out stuff, too. I need a job like that! :) I have no compression anything...because that stuff is expensive. If I start marathon training again, though, I may have to suck it up and put out the money.

way to get after your dreams, Julie!!! You will rock it. if it is in any reasonable distance of the 'couve...I might be able to swing a class or two. Let me know where and when! Gorgeous day!! enjoy your hike. Compression tights...i think they are awesome!! I've tested for sbs before and it is awesome!! enjoy the gear!!

I love, love my compresssion socks, but have never run in the tights! I bet you'll love them.

Congrats, congrats on getting your boot camp going! I'm so excited for you!

Congrats on your new gig! What fun. 300 squats? Holy cow you need compression to recover from that!

I haven't seen anything to support benefits of compression during workouts. A few recent studies showed this lack of performance enhancing. However, I swear by them post-workout for recovery, whether it's in my head or not!

I have only tried compression calf and arm sleeves. I wonder if compression tights would help with bum knees?

Congrats on the bootcamp! That's awesome!

I'm still reading about compression gear but haven't tried any myself...people seem to swear by it all though!

You have a lot going on right now! Congrats on the personal trainer certification!

I've only worn compression socks once, I have heard good things about compression calf sleeves, I might try to pick some up sometime.

Good luck on the boot camp!

I have never worn compression anything so I may not be the best one to ask about how they work. But, I do have a personal training cert and I think it is awesome you are going to go for it and start up some bootcamp classes - exciting!!!!!

I want to be in your holiday bootcamp!

I love my compression calf sleeves, enough that I'm considering buying tights. For what it's worth!

I've never worn any compression clothing so can't say anything about it. Personally I've never seen a need for it and I'm sticking to what has worked for me for many years. I think it is brilliant that you will host a boot camp!
