Three Things Thursday

1. It's official! My new bootcamp will be held at a local kid's hangout called JJ Jump where I'll have 4000 sq feet of room to not only make people cry in bootcamp agony, but to make them laugh as well since we will have full access to the bouncy houses for things like obstacle courses, rock climbing and a jousting arena. Can you imagine how much fun this is going to be?

2. My new women's group started last night and we're doing a study by Priscilla Shirer called One In A Million. The study is based on this excerpt: "The Egyptians in Exodus 1 were intent on enslaving the Israelites, wearing them down so that God’s chosen people would become disillusioned and not live up to their destiny. Of the original two million Israelites who received God’s invitation to enter the Promised Land, only two actually entered it!"

3. I'm still contemplating this auto-biography from Portia Nelson and what it means in my own life:
Chapter 1
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost...I am helpless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

Chapter 2
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in the same place.
But, it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter 3
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in. It's a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault. I get out immediately.

Chapter 4
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

Chapter 5
I walk down another street.

Having boot camp in bouncy houses might just be the coolest thing ever.

It can't possibly hurt that much if you're in a fun filled place, right? ;)

Now I'm even more upset I can't come to your class!!! That is going to be fabulous!

And you know what you said about us being so alike? Well I posted that Chapter thing on my blog quite awhile ago..maybe even years ago. I had it hanging next to my desk forever. Does me good to see it again!

Ahhh, that looks so fun!! So YOU. ;)

I'd have to insert a chapter 2.5. Something like I walk down the street looking for the hole in the sidewalk. I jump in. I don't want to find my way out.

I think maybe I'm on my way to your post's chapter 4, though.

#1 - Funnest boot camp EVER.

#2 - Interesting.

#3 - I love that! I've never seen it before. Similar to something a friend posted on FB not long ago... can't remember the exact wording, but it was something along the lines of, "You can't make the same mistake twice. The first time it's a mistake. The second time it's a choice."
