Kiara Tackles the Trails #9 Wahkeenah Falls Loop.

Ki and I headed to Wahkeenahh Falls today. The trail started at Multnomah Falls (bottom pic). I've been to Multnomah Falls before but never to the top. My calves were ON FIRE by the time we made it to the look out point at the top of the falls. Our trail book didn't want us to go to the viewpoint, but I figured since we were there...
So after visiting with some people at the look out we turned around and headed back until we got to the Larch Mountain Trail which took us into an amazing trek past waterfall after waterfall after bubbling creek beauty. It was AMAZING back in there. About an hour into it I even got the opportunity to use some visualization skills. At about the moment I thought for sure I was going to pee my pants I visualized that my insides were as dry dry dry as a bone - I pictured my bladder as a deflated balloon with absolutely nothing in it. And...IT WORKED...even amidst all the watery noise of the falls, I remained in control!! Yay for keeping my pride (well at least on this ONE trail). We finally got onto the Wahkeenah trail and followed that back down until we reached the Multnomah Falls Trailhead again. We were out there for about 2 hours and we're pooped now.

Time to shower and rest and read. I'm about three days behind on my bible study, so that comes first...then if the kids let me, I'll try to get in a chapter of the Success Principles before church. We're hitting the new Sunday at Six service tonight. It's supposed to be a bit edgier. I think that is in part to the music and in part to being able to actually text message Pastor Kip and his son during the service and they try to answer questions that people have during the service. We shall see...

Ok, husband says I stink, so off to the showers.

Yes... my vision board will involve some of the pictures you are posting...the woods and the falls. Beautiful.

I got the DVD from the library first before I got the book. Can you believe I was looking for something else originally but couldn't find it and just grabbed that DVD instead???

Coincidence or Divine intervention?

OK, Julie that is IT. I've had it. I'm packing up the family and the dogs and we're moving in.

Can you pick us up at the airport??
