Then a trip down memory lane when I opened an old box up high on a shelf in the closet.
Going through an old folder from my missions trip I took when I was about 15 years old, I came across some money that I managed to not spend (what kind of teenager was I anyway?...I couldn't buy a soda pop or something before crossing the border?)
and some snarky notes from high school...
and a picture of me circa 1988 rocking the short do that I can't seem to pull off these days...
...some old love letters, lots of notes passed back and forth between desks from high school, and a few pictures with
What say you??

I recently tossed a box of old love letters from guys who either broke my heart or drove me to break up with them. It felt good.
I love finding hidden boxes full of old things. But, awhile back when I came across some old things I decided that only the ones that held a really special memory to me would be kept. The rest went in the trash.
too fun. love the 80's 'do'. you could totally pull that off now. I say "SAVE"!
Check OUT that 80's do! I LOVE it. I think we need to see a pic of you on skates next time k??
Oh it's so hard to throw stuff out, but I keep telling myself I'm going to get rid of stuff around this house.
Loved going skating with my kids! Of course now they do inline hockey and for whatever reason I'm scared of inline skates myself.
definitely save! I want to go roller skating now!
It's cleansing to toss some of the stuff from old flames, but the pictures with friends and ummm...utensils? Keep 'em!
LOVE roller skating!!
And I also love finding old photos and letters... I'd definitely vote for save.
If you're intrigued..keep it (bad advice coming from a pack rat) I save everything. I always say it will help preserve my memory (brain health!)
Okay white bathing suit model! HAWT-TIE!
I do love purging old items but i can't seem to get rid of HS award/certificates yet...I think you may want to keep them:)
Awww skating parties. Love them.
Old photos? You keep them! You always keep them. The minute you lose them you will regret it. KEEP THEM!
I think I'm going to get rid of a lot of the high school notes. I have like a 1000 from one friend in particular - looking back I think she had a crush on me - they got quite obsessive/possesive.
Now the ones from my BFF Lynn are keepers. H.I.L.A.R.I.O.U.S!
The love notes/cards from old boyfriends are OUT.
I'm keeping all the old pictures :D
I have a hard time throwing things like that out! But where to keep them without prying eyes... You are so gorgeous. Check out those legs!
I tossed my old love letters (only after my mom got ahold of them and read them out loud at some family function) but I say keep yours.
Look at you looking all Dara Torres hot in that lounge chair!
Ha ... looks like every girl I dated in high school! I love the pics of the babies, and I've been meaning to tell you that the one at the top of your page is awesome. Cherish them at this age, mine are 20 & 21 and it's a whole new ball game!
Love your pic, you look AWESOME!! I agree with your final decisions. Keep the stuff that really means something and toss the rest.
Thanks for the comment about the wee ones, Jim. I feel like every new age is a whole new ball game! They change SO FAST!
I can't believe you ever had use for utensils!
I'm not much of a pack rat, but I'm kinda an emotional zero so that figures. I like to keep things simple and clean.
Cute pics of the kids.
I don't know what to tell you, but that sunbathing pic is a KEEPER! Everything from the astroturf lawn, your smokin' legs, and your pack of smokes!! Ha! :) Oh, I miss the 80's.
I love that short 'do. It brings back all the old memories.
