Biggest Loser

Maria, Me, Dave, Cheyenne, Lisa
My Red Team WON!!! Here I am with four of the teammates at our finale party on Friday. We had a very consistent loss each week of a little more than 2 pounds per person. The team lost a total of 7.29% (104.6 pounds) and we only beat the 2nd place team by .05% - the yellow team came in with a total loss of 7.24%.

So excited for you (and how did you fall off my blog roll, damn Blogger!)

My one time with the trainer, she taught me core exercises with that stupid Bosu ball. So very tough, I'm sure you know them all...dead bug, side sit ups laying on the thing, running man with the ball on its squishy side. My abs hurt every time.

There's a TRX class at a local spot called swim, bike run and it's basically using your own body weight and resistance with ropes. My problem is when I try other things I get really sore and then I can't complete the basic stuff like running and biking because my legs are a wreck. I'm such a weenie.

Since physical therapy is my life right now, I'm very in to the transverse stuff: my main exercise right now is sitting on the Swiss ball and trying to lift my knees one at a time without rocking to the opposite side. People with a strong transverse can do this. I cannot!

One of my favorite forearms to palms planks. You get some great arm and delts working along with the abs.

Congrats to your red team! :)

Congrats to you and your team! That is so great! In a Jillian video (no more trouble zones) she does some wicked plank moves that involve twisting and then toe tapping. I hate it. So that must mean it's good!

Congrats on winning the contest! As for exercises, lunges are always good. I've just started working on strengthening my hips and a fellow blogger pointed me to these exercises. http://runningtimes.com/Article.aspx?ArticleID=18359

Nice work Red team! I love a good abs class. I love anything on the ball for abs. Pilates moves are also a fav or mine! Way to go getting out of your comfort zone with all these new classes!
