Every. Stinkin'. Day.

I'm tired. Oh so very tired.
All. the. time.
...these days. My first alarm goes off at 4:23am. The second goes off at 4:30am. The coffee starts to hit my brain at 5:00am. I don't know what happens during that first half hour I'm awake. I think I mostly just shiver under my blankie on the couch. At 5am I work out the details of boot camp and by 5:30am I'm out the door and practicing my smile in the car. If I don't practice it first, it simply ain't coming out to play when the first bootcampers start heading in the door. I wouldn't say I'm NOT a morning person...but I'm not a 4:30am in the morning person. FO. SHO.

The day goes on from there. Some days Baby Steps Boot Camp, some days working our home business, some days a shift at the club, and sometimes all three. Then there's supposed to be at least one workout of my own for 1/2 IM training during each day, and of course some family time, taking the kids here and there, the dog always needs a walk, and if everyone is lucky I'll do some laundry. Then, if I get at least one load of laundry done, I'm out handing out flyers for the bootcamp or fundraising for a cause Man...it doesn't look that bad written out like this, but trust me - it's a full day! I know this because...

Eventually at some point during every day since the beginning of 2012, you will find me like this...

Look, someone even kissed me before they snapped this pic. I'm not showing you the awful video they made of me snoring.

The other day, a friend asked me if I had changed my hair and I realized the only difference is that I had actually washed it! ...and "did it". Who has time for such things? I shave my legs once every three months whether they need it or not ;-)  I blog infrequently. I show up at bible study with only a vague recollection of our topic for the week. I forget my own phone number...

...and I wonder how long I can keep this up.
The answer is:
at least for awhile longer...
...and I'll whisper this to you: "it's all about the boot camp". I really.really.really.really. want this boot camp to take off. I love being there so much! It is paying me the least, but it gives me the most joy of all my jobs>>>and so nap if I must, there is something to be said for being able to do the thing you love.

My question to you today:
Are you doing what you love?...Tell me ALL about it :-)

Ahhh, You're working HARD girl. Getting up that early comes a few times a year for me but if I try it longer than that I CRASH HARD. You know, I am doing what I love. Very much so. This makes the sacrifices all worth it. Isn't it kind of nice that we don't get all done up every day?....I mean, it makes for some cheap and easy thrills for when we do?? set the standard low in the fashion and beauty category and it is so easy to get all dolled up and feeling fabulous!!

Love this picture. :)

I am doing what I LOVE! I work in conservation education, it is my calling and I couldn’t do anything else. I love nutrition and fitness but not like I do my real job. It fills me with joy, I am glad to hear that you have found what you love.

Oh, girl...if only we didn't have to run so HARD to chase our dreams. Believe me, it DOES look that bad written out like that.

YES, I'm chasing what I love, and it's so worth being tired!

I wish I could say I'm doing what I love, but at least I'm doing what I like...that's something!

I feel your pain and tiredness! I get up at 4:30 am every day too, and sometimes I just get so insanely tired I can't take it.

Keep it going girl, it will pay off!

Umm doesn't look so bad written out that way?! Are you crazy! It looks like a ton! No wonder you are tired. I'm so happy for you and your bootcamp though. I know you will make it a success.

That is a huge load, and 4:30 a.m. is an *ungodly* hour (as my husband and I always describe whenever one of us has to experience it). But you are right. You are "runnin' down the dream" and it will be worth it and it *won't* require 4:30 a.m. forever.

That post made me tired. I thought getting up at 5:30 was bad...the 4 o 'clock hour is impossible to bare. You poor girl! Keep up the work...if you love it enough...then it's worth it, right?

I get tired only by reading this! you are doing so well though! I feel really tired too, mentally as well as physically. I am doing what I love but sometimes you just need some positive feedback to keep pushing. Do I make any sense?

You and I have soooo much in common! Seriously! I don't get up that early but I'm doing the Half IM training with a full job and family. Somedays I come home after picking the kids up and beg them to be somewhat quiet for 20 minutes so I can take a power nap.

My hair looks like the mane of the Lion King. I try and fix it but it normally ends up in a ponytail about 9am.

Oh my Goodness.
I love you.
Now I feel normal...I thought there was something wrong with me;)

Hang in there. That which we love and gets to do keeps us running:)

I'm so happy that you're doing what you love! Because I sure as hell ain't! I'd love to be able to tell Big Brother exactly where he could stick my job, but for now I need the paycheck worse than I need a job I like.
