Look At Her Dominoes!

Ever since I showed Mai Cynthia's
picture in Oxygen Saturday, she has been non-stop about the muscles. Since she's grown up with Oxygen, she likes herself a good muscular physique, but somehow Cynthia inspired Mai to go through her brothers costumes until she found one with built in muscles: shoulders, arms, and abdominals. She keeps asking her Dad and I if we like her big, strong "dominoes". She says she had to work pretty hard to get them :o)

Yesterday began my one week of pre-Pac Crest/TNT training. I hopped on my bike for a short 10 miles, which definitely felt longer due to the very strong headwind. I also almost got knocked over a couple times from gusts. I was mostly just wanting to get back the feel of being in clipless pedals and get my bottom reminded of what the saddle is like. It was a beautiful day for a ride and I probably should have kept going a while longer, but I wanted to get some errands done before hitting the gym for a swim.

It's the first time I've been in the pool since probably late August or early September. I almost cried it felt so good to be back in the water. I did 1300 meters and took it really easy. Steve warned me one of the lane markers has been gone for some time now so I was expecting some drama but it was just plain silly that people think that because a marker is gone the pool should now become like the local kid pool for splashing and playing ...grrr. Steve always tells me to treat someone who hops in my lane to play as if they had hopped on my treadmill while I was running, so usually I just pretend I don't see them and karate chop their head as I swim pass, but I took the time last night to stop and ask for some room and it worked well. Since I was the only one swimming laps they managed to give me 1/2 of a lane to be by myself. I think I'll go back tonight :o)

Awww...how precious. She is too cute.

I agree. Cynthia is very inspirational.

Andy used to complain about people in his lane all the time. It is kinda rude though. There is a LAP pool and a big pool mainly for kids but STILL there are people who get in his lane and just STAND there.

Awe... peel off her costume and explain that you have to be strong and healthy mind/body/ & soul.. One's no good without the other two.

I am so amazed by your triathlon training ways... I used to ride my bike 25 hilly miles a day when I was a teen. Loved that time to just think. I always dreamed about doing Tour De France.

You amaze me with your swimming/running AND biking.

Julie... you really have HEART.

By the way... there is a poster in the back of Oxygen of a girl running over a bridge with a waterfall in the background. Is that in your neck of the woods?

Gosh, Cynthia - I haven't even had a chance to look at the magazine except for your picture yet, but I just turned to what looks to be exactly like our own Multnomah Falls!! (see this post ~ http://mondaynightgolfandsurfvacations.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html )
Good eye!

I just saw it... I can't believe how beautiful it is. It must smell divine too. I am totally using that pic for my vision board.
